As a member of the award-winning in-house IP Team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills by giving expert legal Intellectual Property advice that's clear, practical and commercial to:
-Enable business and deliver excellent customer experience;
-Support the creation of world-class digital solutions; and
-Manage the company's legal risk, reputation & brand
-All in line with both the Company and the IP Team Strategy and Purpose.
You will be capable of performing each of the following:
o Advising on IP and 'Technology' aspects of relevant contracts (including SAAS, PAAS, NAAS, AI, and FOSS) including drafting and editing where appropriate.
o Negotiating, and where appropriate leading negotiations, on IPR clauses, agreements and licences.
o Advising on the IP 'Technology' aspects of research projects and commercial projects where IP is an important element.
o Experience of IP litigation would be beneficial.
o This could cover all IP licensing matters (both inbound and outbound) and specialist expert legal support for specific areas of IP Law such as: open source software, software, database rights, trade secrets, confidential information and copyright.
You'll have the following skills & experience:
o Qualified Solicitor with at least +5 years PQE.
o Excellent people skills
o Ability to work independently
o Deadline management
o Ability to provide sensible, pragmatic, and commercially minded solutions to IP matters.
-25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
