This is an exciting role for a broad commercial lawyer to enter into an international in-house role in the travel & hospitality sector, within a market leader.
This position will report to the Vice President & Senior Counsel. The position will be responsible for providing legal services to support the operations and asset management of the businesses branded products, including owned, leased, franchised and managed, throughout Europe. The work principally takes the form of providing commercial transactional support. You will be drafting and negotiating contracts in a wide variety of contexts, including, system wide-initiatives, continent initiatives, above-property programs and services, asset management, work outs, restructurings, contract renewals and terminations, sales and marketing, vendors, consultants, and retail and commercial tenants at hotels.
To be considered for the role you must have trained at a strong law firm or in-house specifically in the hospitality sector and have at least 5 years post qualification experience in general commercial work. Knowledge of the hospitality industry is very helpful, but not essential. The role will require strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think strategically both from a business and legal perspective. Fluency in one other European language in addition to English would be advantageous but again, is not essential.
