Responsibilities Include:

Managing the Client Onboarding Process:

  • In conjunction with the various service lines and Financial Crime, review existing policies and processes, establishing any gaps and documenting accordingly
  • Identify areas for improvement/efficiencies
  • Identify recruitment requirements (headcount, level etc)
  • Play a key role in Communicating, training and implementing the new client onboarding systems, including internal training sessions/webinars/literature etc, gaining 'buy-in' from senior stakeholders and Heads of Business
  • Producing monthly MI for Financial Crime and Senior Management

Client Onboarding:

  • To operationally lead the Client Onboarding Team;
  • The team are responsible for completing all required KYC/AML checks on new clients and any other due diligence as required, ongoing periodic review of existing clients, KYC/AML reviews that arise from trigger events
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Client Onboarding Team, assisting junior team members where necessary
  • Provide guidance to relevant parties in respect of the client onboarding process
  • Provide strong relationship management ensuring that the correct and full due diligence is undertaken before new business is commenced
  • Agree processes and work closely with Financial Crime on more complex cases where required

Experience and Skills required:

  • Demonstrable client onboarding experience essential - ideally gained within an accounting or financial services organisation
  • Experience of working in a compliance function preferred
  • Demonstrable experience of AML legislation and complex due diligence requirements essential
  • Proven track record of project management
  • Ideally will have worked on a similar client onboarding implementation project(s) previously
  • Proven line/team management experience
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate to a wide range stakeholders
  • High level of regulatory knowledge relevant to the role
