This large not-for-profit organisation is looking for a part qualified governance officer to join their team in London on a 12 month FTC with the potential to become permanent.
As a governance officer and business partner, the individual will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure their needs are met. The governance officer is expected to deliver core services and contribute to the achievement of business objectives and the success of projects and compliance and governance initiatives
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- assisting the Head of Governance to service and support the Board and to be the governance support for other boards and committees across the Group as determined from time to time.
- providing professional support to ensure the smooth running of board and committee activities
- maintaining statutory registers and information and ensure regulatory returns are filed in accordance with reporting timescales and that all deadlines are met
- promoting high standards of company secretarial practice and ensure a climate of continuous improvement in relation to service performance, business partnering and share professional knowledge
Sector experience is not a requirement for this role and individuals with sufficient company secretarial and corporate governance experience from any background will be considered.
