Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Support all data-driven initiatives of the Quantitative Risk team such as stress testing, model development and production of time-sensitive MI reports;
  • Develop/ improve reporting tools and MI;
  • Review the work of junior team members;
  • Work with stakeholders to communicate and explain data challenges, insights and lineage;
  • Communicate technical messages to senior management;
  • Work with other functions to support the build out of data analysis capabilities, infrastructure and data management across the Bank.

The successful applicant should:

  • have a degree, preferably in mathematics, data science or engineering;
  • have at least 5 years of experience in data analytics and extensive SAS programming knowledge including SQL
  • have experience with data visualisation techniques in order to create reports and MI
  • have good Excel skills - Pivot tables, VBA, Excel functions and formulas
  • understand key credit risk concepts such as arrears, impairment and forbearance management
  • be familiar with a variety of data types (e.g. Credit Risk, Concentration Risk, Climate Change etc.)
  • be proactive and able to act on their own initiative;
  • deliver high quality outcomes in a timely manner and have excellent attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of R/Python is desirable but not mandatory
