This listed retail organisation is looking for a Deputy Company Secretary to join their team in London.

As Deputy Company Secretary, you will be responsible for developing and administering high levels of corporate governance and company secretarial policies and processes appropriate for a UK company with a premium listing on the London Stock Exchange.

This is a highly visible and exciting role, offering the opportunity to help develop and embed a robust governance framework for a dynamic high-growth company that has recently completed a successful UK main market IPO and premium listing.

You will work closely with the General Counsel and have ownership of key areas, working alongside the Legal team as appropriate, and with direct exposure to the Chair, Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team of the company.

You will need:

  • to be fully ICSA qualified for this role
  • to have Premium listed plc company secretarial experience in a senior capacity, preferably as a Deputy or Senior Assistant Company Secretary at a FTSE 250 or FTSE small cap company.
  • Experience of setting up and/or helping develop and mature an earlier-stage governance and company secretarial framework would be an advantage, but is not strictly necessary
  • a willingness to roll up your sleeves to undertake a wide variety of tasks to support a high growth business - some mundane and routine, and others more challenging - and to take ownership of them and see them to conclusion
