An innovative technology platform is looking for a French speaking legal counsel to help facilitate their recent rapid expansion. As only the third hire in to the legal team the position will support all teams across multiple jurisdictions and it is envisioned that this role will develop as the company grows, increasing in breadth and responsibility.
Reporting to the General Counsel you will be responsible for a broad range of work across commercial, corporate, regulatory and strategic support. Basically anything you can think of -they are a start-up with global ambitions! The work would include:
- Drafting and negotiating IT contracts and general commercial contracts;
- Advising on corporate transactions including M&A
- Advising on company polices, compliance and competition matters
- Advising on Data Privacy
- Managing dispute resolution where required
- Managing outside counsel
It is essential for this person to be fluent in French and English, any other languages would be a plus. You may be UK or French qualified, as long as you have some experience of contract drafting in the UK. You may have a background across any of the following: Corporate; Commercial; IT/IP; M&A. Experience of other jurisdictions EMEA; USA and/or Asia would be advantageous but not essential.
