The CFO would sit at the holding company level and requires the following:
(i) understand broker-dealer finance and be able to provide guidance and support to the broker-dealer staff on regulatory compliance and treasury functions, and (ii) understand complex deal accounting, and be able to manage all aspects of dealing with investors, lenders, and auditors on more complex accounting processes. Experience at a clearing firm and/or expertise within the Cryptocurrency space would also be a huge plus.
This person would be working directly with the CEO and another executive on the parent company, with broad oversight of the broker-dealer from a board of directors, strategic and resource perspective. The ideal candidate would understand and oversee complex deal transactions, handle financials modeling, and have knowledge of broker-dealer finance/accounting. The CFO must be hands on enough to oversee the presentation of consolidated financials to parent company board members and other sophisticated investors et al. The ideal candidate would be able to represent the company from a financial perspective if and when the company expands internationally. Also, the candidate should have a creative, "think out of the box" personality.
The CFO would serve as the ultimate strategic manager/advisor over finance of all companies, including the broker-dealer.
