The Role
Fantastic opportunity for international candidates to relocate to Sydney!
Our client, a leading US firm, is looking for a mid-level US Capital Markets lawyer to join the Sydney team.
In this role, you will be representing issuers, investors, and underwriters in securities transactions, including private placements of secured and unsecured high yield and investment grade debt, equity and hybrid securities, tender and exchange offers and SEC registered offerings.
You will be working with a Band 1 partner for US law-based capital markets in Australia. This partner is considered a leading force in the practices of corporate finance law and debt capital markets.
You will gain excellent client exposure and opportunities to develop a network of relationships. You will benefit from exceptional learning opportunities working in a team of highly ambitious and talented professionals.
Our client is willing to relocate candidates from the US, Asia or London.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Been admitted to practice in America, with 2-5 years' post-qualified experience in capital markets with a reputable practice;
  • An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset;
  • A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of this leading and supportive team;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team;
