Amanda Atherton - Compliance
Amanda joined Taylor Root in July 2006 to specialise in financial services recruitment, in the area of compliance and operational risk. Amanda commenced her career with Martin Ward Anderson in the UK in 1997 within banking & finance and since relocating back to Australia in 2001, has focused on the recruitment of legal and compliance professionals within financial services.
Andrew Murdoch - In-house
Andrew graduated with an arts and law degree, qualified as an Australian lawyer in 2000 and an English qualified lawyer in 2004. He practiced in commercial litigation/insolvency for both a top Australian national firm and the central government in the UK. Andrew joined Taylor Root in November 2006 and originally worked in London before moving to Sydney. He focuses on the Sydney and Brisbane In-House Commerce & Industry markets.
Brian Rollo - In-house
Brian has 6 years’ recruitment experience, and has been recruiting Banking and Finance lawyers since 2004 in both London and Sydney. A law graduate from the University of Glasgow in 2000, Brian originally worked in London for 4 years, before moving to Sydney in 2006, specialising in the in-house market. He joined Taylor Root in mid-2008, and manages the In-House Banking and Finance team.

David Buckley - Practice & In-house
David has been recruiting lawyers since 1996, both in London and Sydney, working with private practice and in-house corporate clients on a permanent and contract basis. David is a partner of Taylor Root and manages the business in Australia. He specialises in recruiting lawyers into in-house roles together with working on senior private practice assignments. Qualified in the UK with Hammond Suddards, David practised law in the area of banking litigation.
Dominic Khedun - Private Practice
Dominic has been recruiting lawyers for 5 years in the UK and Australia. Prior to moving to Sydney, he spent 3 years specialising in recruiting locum lawyers for private practice, local government and in-house organisations across the North West of England. Since moving to Sydney in 2007, Dominic has focused on recruiting lawyers into private practices across Australia, specifically within mid-tier and boutique firms. He joined the Private Practice team of Taylor Root mid-June 2009.
Karlie Connellan - International
Karlie joined Taylor Root as an Associate Director in March 2010. With over nine years’ experience in undertaking search and selection assignments for major companies and law firms, Karlie has spent the last six years specifically focusing on clients in the Australian market, sourcing senior lawyers from appropriate jurisdictions globally. As the Sydney based International consultant Karlie specialises in sourcing and consulting lawyers on international opportunities with leading law firms as well as major corporations and financial institutions in locations including Asia, Europe, Middle East, New Zealand and United Kingdom. Prior to focusing on the legal sector, Karlie gained significant knowledge of the UK and South African markets managing senior and executive level assignments in the financial services area. This geographical knowledge has proved to be very useful, enabling her to provide strategic consulting services to lawyers seeking a move to overseas jurisdictions.
Kathryn Parry - Private Practice
Kathryn graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Laws and worked in a boutique Sydney law firm. She joined a specialist legal recruitment agency in Sydney where she spent 2 years recruiting lawyers throughout Australia. Kathryn joined Taylor Root in January 2007, initially employed in Taylor Root's London office Kathryn obtained experience recruiting lawyers into top UK and US law firms before relocating back to Sydney in June 2009. Kathryn specialises in recruiting candidates into private practice roles in Sydney and Brisbane.
Matt Harris - Private Practice
Matt is a Business Studies graduate who spent 9 years recruiting into the central London legal market before joining the Sydney office of Taylor Root in January 2008. He is part of the Sydney private practice team focusing on positions within a variety of top-tier firms.

Penny began her career at Hays Legal where she focused on the professional and financial services sectors. With 4 years' recruitment experience, she has a successful track-record in recruiting legal and marketing professionals nationally. Penny joined Taylor Root in January 2010 to specialise in the recruitment of in-house lawyers within NSW.
Rachael Duggan - Private Practice
Rachael graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney with a degree in Arts and Law. She joined Taylor Root in January 2004 as a consultant, having previously worked in the Sydney recruitment market for three years. Rachael is the Manager of the National Private Practice team; she specialises in the recruitment of lawyers at all levels within the top tier, mid-tier and specialist legal firms.
