Ailish Allen - Regional Law Firms, South
Ailish read law at university and completed the LPC at the College of Law before qualifying as a solicitor in 2002. She joined Taylor Root in January 2007 from London firm Memery Crystal where she specialised in Corporate Finance. Ailish recruits solicitors into private practice across the South.

Alex Wiseman - UK & US Firms, London
Alex graduated from University College London with a law degree in 2002 and subsequently went on to study the LPC at the College of Law in London. After spending a period with a leading executive search company, Alex joined Taylor Root in December 2003 and now manages the London private practice team specialising in UK and US law firms.

Alexis Osen - Niche/West End Firms
Alexis graduated in architecture from UCL and completed the CPE and LPC at the College of Law, London before specialising as a criminal lawyer. Alexis joined Taylor Root as a consultant in March 2006.

Darryn Hale - Partners, London & South
Darryn is a partner at Taylor Root and manages the London and South private practice team based in London. He studied Economics at Manchester University before completing the CPE and Law Society Finals at Guildford Law School. He commenced his training contract with Clifford Chance in 1994, qualifying in 1996 and remaining there for three years’ post qualification before moving to an in-house finance role at Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Australia. Darryn now specialises in recruiting partners and senior associates into private practice in London and the South.

Florentine Weijer - International
Florentine graduated from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in 2004 with a Masters degree in Law. She practiced as a lawyer at AKD in the Netherlands, before relocating to the UK in 2008. Florentine joined Taylor Root in 2010 and works within the International team, focusing on the European private practice market as well as recruiting lawyers into Singapore.
Helen Howard - International
Helen graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2002 and worked in Japan for three years before returning to the UK to undertake the GDL and the LPC. She trained at Herbert Smith and joined the international team at Taylor Root shortly afterwards. She speaks a conversational level of Japanese.

Jamie Newbold - International
Jamie is the Partner responsible for the International team in London and the Dubai office. Jamie graduated in Law from Durham University and then trained with Norton Rose and practised at Theodore Goddard. He has been involved in recruitment since July 2000 and has recruited across most global jurisdictions. He has a particular expertise in the offshore jurisdictions and the Middle East.

Katerina Rozenbaum - International
Katerina graduated from the London School of Economics with a law degree in 2003. She went on to qualify with Clifford Chance, spending some time working in Sao Paulo, and practiced as an associate with Lovells in Moscow. Katerina is fluent in Russian and Dutch, speaks French and some Portuguese. Her diverse background led her to join the International team at Taylor Root in June 2010.
Mark Walters - International
Mark graduated from Manchester University with a Psychology degree. He converted to law and qualified as a solicitor at Peter Carter-Ruck and Partners. Soon after that he began legal recruitment in London Private Practice. The last 4 years have been spent overseas, based in Dubai. Mark moved back to the UK and joined Taylor Root’s London based International team in April 2010.

Nick Root - Partners, London
Founding partner. Having spent six years at Michael Page, he joined The SR Group to set up Taylor Root in 1989. He currently handles the recruitment of equity partners within London law firms and senior heads of legal within commerce and industry throughout the South of England.

Sara Hanna - UK Firms, London
Sara graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in History, before completing the GDL and the LPC. She went on to qualify as a solicitor at Allen & Overy and joined Taylor Root in May 2010 to specialise in private practice recruitment for UK law firms in London.

Shobana Richmond - International
Shobana graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (with first class honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne in 2000. Admitted to practice in March 2003, Shobana completed her articles and worked at Freehills until October 2004, when she moved to Michael Page to specialise in private practice recruitment. In December 2006, Shobana joined Taylor Root’s Melbourne office. She relocated to London in January 2008 and is responsible for recruiting lawyers at all levels from the UK into the Asia-Pacific region.
Toria Walker - UK Firms, London
Toria read law at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2003. She joined Taylor Root in January 2004 and focuses on placing lawyers into private practice roles in London.

William Gould - US Firms, London
William graduated from Bristol University with a law degree and then completed his training contract with SJ Berwin. He went on to work as a Banking lawyer for Ashurst and leading Channel Islands firm Bedell Cristin before joining Taylor Root in 2010 to specialise in private practice recruitment for US law firms in London.

Vivienne Stephen - US Firms, London
Vivienne read Law, French Law and French Language at university and qualified as a corporate solicitor with Laytons in 2001. She then moved into legal recruitment in 2003 and gained six years’ experience before joining Taylor Root in 2009 to specialise in private practice recruitment for US law firms in London.
